As society has grown, the rate of consumerism and population of urban areas has increased. The effects of industrial expansion and thoughtless consumption have left the planet in a dwindling state. It is our social responsibility to maintain the environment for the betterment of the planet and our society. Environmentally conscious design has the potential to impact the moral and ethical viewpoints of it’s audience, functioning as statements of purpose in consumable forms. This project comments on how to bring consumers back to nature, by designing products inspired by nature. It attempts to take advantage of poor societal habits, with designs that are intended to point out the tainted relationships humans have had with nature. And in turn, start a dialogue for the audience to rethink how we show up for our environment.
